Premiere on 10.03.2018: A Journey into the TIN PIT - An intense, visually powerful and musically special evening.

Dear friends of our ensemble,

Full of joy and pride, we present our latest project and would like to cordially invite you to a trip to TIN PIT. A journey into another Syria, which before the omnipresent images of war was a country of immeasurable cultural wealth and full of stories. In TIN PIT, a notorious district of Damascus, you meet people and their dreams, longings and little secrets. The author and artist who grew up in Damascus Wasim Ghrioui has compiled these stories and celebrates with the world premiere of "TIN PIT - in the nowhere of a foreign city" his directorial debut. At the same time, this project is the first major collaboration between Ensemble Megaphon and our newly founded Ensemble Rasif, which gives refugees a new artistic home. So we are delighted with the soprano and composer Dima Orsho, the Syrian trumpeter Milad Kwaham, the Czech violonist Lenka Župková, the actor known from many films and television productions. Omar El-Saeidi and the video artist Matzo Goerig to an intense, pictorial and musically special evening.

As patron we were able to Doris Schröder-Köpf, Landesbeauftragte für Migration und Teilhabe (State Commissioner for Migration and Participation).
