Dear friends of our ensemble,

the countdown before the premiere of TIN PIT - in the nowhere of a strange city is on! In the truest sense of the word: on 10 March we will celebrate our first joint premiere with Ensemble Rasif at Ballhof Zwei. We founded the Ensemble Rasif together with professional refugee musicians and artists from Syria, Armenia, Iran and Turkey and are now working together daily on the rehearsal stage at TAK in Berlin and from next week onwards at Ballhof Zwei.

We will be showing a small foretaste of the stories, sounds and visual worlds from TIN PIT at the Wednesday, 7 March., at the Cumberland as part of the acting event series DANCE THE TANDEM. Unfortunately, due to illness, actor Omar El-Saeidi will not be in TIN PIT. However, we are very happy that his colleague Paul Wollin was able to step in. Paul is currently a member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theatre and has performed in the highly acclaimed production of CRAZY BLOOD  directed by Nurkan Erpulat. He also appeared in the series SOKO Leipzig and SOKO Wismar and in Martin Hawie's film TORO.

We are also very happy that our idea of providing 30 free tickets to every performance for refugees has been very well received. With our project, we really want to create a shared experience, get to know each other and a cultural exchange between old residents and new arrivals.

The production is in German with Arabic subtitles.
