Ensemble Megaphon: Not to be pigeonholed!<\/h2>\n

Das Ensemble Megaphon ist ein internationales K\u00fcnstler*innenkollektiv, gegr\u00fcndet 2007 von der tschechischen Geigerin Lenka \u017dupkov\u00e1. Die Musiksprache des Ensembles verbindet zeitgen\u00f6ssische Musik, Alte Musik und Free Jazz mit konzeptioneller Improvisation und Live-Elektronik, die durch die Mittel des Musiktheaters und Medien erweitert werden. Durch das Zusammenspiel verschiedener Musikstile und Kunstsparten – darunter Tanz, Schauspiel und Bildende Kunst – entstehen neue, \u00fcberraschende Perspektiven.<\/p>\n

Concert design and experience<\/h2>\n

Die K\u00fcnstler*innen von Megaphon entwickeln Inszenierungen f\u00fcr R\u00e4ume, Orte und Situationen. Ob in Theatern, im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum oder an ungew\u00f6hnlichen Spielst\u00e4tten – ihre Produktionen verbinden Klang, Bewegung, Licht und Video zu immersiven Gesamterlebnissen. Mittels Klang-und Lichtregie, Bewegung und bildende Kunst verwandeln sie den akustischen und architektonischen Raum.<\/p>\n

Experimental formats and participatory approaches invite the audience not only to listen, but also to become an active part of the event. Conversations between the audience and the ensemble also open up space for exchange and new perspectives. The result is an open, lively art format in which hearing, seeing and experiencing are combined in a sensual way.<\/p>\n

Focus on the environment and society<\/h2>\n

A central concern of the ensemble is the artistic exploration of current issues. Questions about the environment, ecology and social coexistence are at the centre of many projects. Megaphon uses the multi-layered possibilities of music theatre to make complex relationships tangible and provide food for thought.<\/p>\n

Collaboration with composers<\/h2>\nThe Ensemble Megaphon regularly works with composers such as: A. Schl\u00fcnz, S. Nesic, B. K\u00f6nig, H. Tulve, K.Reese, J.Hodkinson, G.Eckert, J.G.Stastny, M.Eggert, T. Prelevic, D. Morreira, Ch.Seither, E. Ebrahimi, V. Globokar and many more, and regularly commissions compositions from young composers.
\nMore than 80 works have been written and premiered for the ensemble to date.\n

Music mediation and community music<\/h2>\n

Another focus is on the Mediation work<\/a>. In co-operation with schools, music schools and choirs, projects are created that introduce people of all ages to music. The idea of participation is particularly important here: In the amateur ensemble \u201eKlangerlebnis“<\/a> kommen seit 2022 musikinteressierte Menschen zusammen, um gemeinsam zu musizieren – unabh\u00e4ngig von Vorerfahrung.<\/p>\n

Organisation and promotion<\/h2>\n

The ensemble is organised by the Verein Blickpunkte e.V.<\/a> supported. Since 2019, Ensemble Megaphon has received institutional funding from the City of Hanover and the Hanover Cultural Office.<\/p>\n
