The Ensemble Megaphon invites you to an intercultural concert entitled "Lebenswege" (Paths of Life), which brings together different cultures, eras and art forms. Together with musicians from Iran, Syria and Turkey as well as dancers from Tanzpunkt Hannover and the Cantanova choir, Ensemble Megaphon will create a multi-layered programme in which baroque works, traditional songs and improvisations will be interwoven. Artists from different countries come together, inspired by the quote from the great mystic Rumi:

"It's your path, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you."

This idea runs like a thread through the evening - in music, movement and projections. The architecture of St Mark's Church itself becomes part of the production: image and poetry projections bathe the church walls in changing light, dancers move through the space and make it float. Under the direction of choirmaster Nemanja and the two dancers, the audience is invited to move and sing along with the artists at the end.
