The Ensemble Megaphon is commemorating the destruction of Magdeburg in the Second World War - and at the same time all victims of violence - in a concert for peace on 16 January. The musicians Lenka Zupková (violin), Vlady Bystrov (clarinet) and Nemanja Lukić (accordion) cover a wide range of music, from baroque works to contemporary and original compositions. With improvisations and playing in changing locations, they unfold meditative soundscapes in the church space, which are intensified by a sensitive lighting design. The audience is cordially invited to join in at 7 p.m. for the joint final chorale „Dona Nobis Pacem“. At the end of the concert, all voices unite with the sounds of the ensemble to create a sign of hope and peace.
Programme:
1. Ignaz Biber: Rosary Sonata No. 1 for violin and accordion
2. Tigran Mansurian: Lacrymae for violin and saxophone
3. Toshio Hosokawa: Melodia for solo accordion, violin and clarinet
4th Vlady Bystrov - solo saxophone
5. Arvo Pärt: Fratres for violin and accordion
6. Lenka Zupkova: Moments 3
7th canon: Dona Nobis pacem together with the audience
