Opera Reimagined is a project that presents short music theatre compositions by several up-and-coming composers as part of a full-length event. These young talents have already successfully presented their instrumental works to audiences in Lower Saxony as part of the Musik 21 Niedersachsen programme for young composers under the direction of Snezana Nesic and Daniel Moreira. In this music theatre project, they will deal in particular with existential and current political issues, focusing on concepts such as „identity“ and „future“. The project also takes a critical look at consumer society, artificial intelligence and digitalisation from both a tragic and comic perspective.
Composers:
Max Ewald Habel, Joëlle Salome Götz, Gabriel Frisch, Skylar Nobis, Leon Christian Schneider and Roman Gregorski
