Sounds circle, images rotate, movements interlock. The Ensemble Megaphon immerses itself in the magic of repetition. In part two of our three-part LOOP concert series, old and contemporary music merge with improvisation and electronic loops to create multi-layered collages. With the help of acoustic loops, remixes, overdubbing and samples, the ensemble explores the effect of repetition. All the musicians are also performers and allow sounds, images and movements to circulate in the space. The audience becomes part of the loop. In the midst of the action - listening, seeing, singing, moving - the musical form can be experienced as a pulsating process: familiar, hypnotic and always changing.
