The uncanniness of time, music by numbers, waltzes of rollers and over-writing machines - the Ensemble Megaphon over_writes and presents a series of pieces by the composer Tom Rojo Poller. The ambiguity of the title (About [the] Writing / Overwriting) is at the same time programme:

On the one hand, it is about the process of writing itself, which is inherent in composing notated music, but which also plays a special role in Poller's music. Be it through the use of written projections (in The Uncanniness of Time) or different writing media (in Over-writing machine) or by referring to recording systems of a different kind (the wax roller phonograph in Rollers and the sound recordings in Music by Numbers). In addition, overwriting is a design principle of all pieces, for the individual movements of these series of works can be performed separately or simultaneously.

Each work is presented personally by the musicians of the ensemble. They introduce the audience to the musical themes and the composer's approach and way of thinking, allowing them to look at the notes or ask questions.
