The moon is the master of endless loops. We follow the moon’s gravitational pull and its light, and go round with it a few times. Sounds circle, images rotate, movements intertwine. Ensemble Megaphon immerses itself in the magic of repetition.
Classical and contemporary music blend with improvisation. Using loops, remixes and overdubbing, the ensemble explores the effect of repetition.
All the artists are also performers, allowing sounds, images and movements to circulate throughout the space. The audience becomes part of the loop. Right at the heart of the action – listening, watching, singing, moving – the musical form can be experienced as a pulsating process: familiar, hypnotic and constantly changing.
