Art and music education

For Katja Krause, relating to people through the experience of art is one of the most beautiful "disco" feelings.

After her studies at the Leibniz University of Hanover with a Master's degree in Education and Religious Studies, 10 years of professional experience as a media designer in the advertising industry, plus two extra-occupational training courses in clownery (TuT Hanover) and acting (Theaterwerkstatt Bonn) in her hand luggage, further adding a training in cultural management at the ZEW of the Leibniz University, in 2008 Katja landed quite naively and by chance as a freelance art mediator/museum educator in visual arts at the Sprengel Museum Hanover.

Since then, she has been passionate about accompanying children, young people, adults and senior citizens - inspired by art - into their own creative activities and into self led dialogues. Over time, she has also developed and realised formats for promoting children's language skills. As a team player, but also as a very independent cultural worker, she is active in, among others, the Sprengel Museum Hannover, the Kestner Gesellschaft, the figure theatre house Theatrio, almost all of Hannover's district cultural work institutions, in the Markuskirche Cultural Church, for Blickpunkte e.V., SPOKUSA e.V., Creo e.V., the CJD Hannover-Mittelfeld and in various schools. There is also cabaret and the stage, which makes Katja's happy hormones dance. Like in the ensemble of the Theatre Pedagogical Workshop Osnabrück, the Hinge Theatre Hanover, the QUARTIER Theatre Hanover and the duo Die Clowneten.

Katja has been designing and realising workshops in music education projects for Ensemble Megaphon since 2016.
